Trails: snowmobile trail & road from Little River Road, N. Twin Trail, N. Twin Spur, Twinway, Garfield Ridge Trail, Gale River Trail, Gale River Road & ski trail to Beaver Brook lot
Peaks: N. Twin, S. Twin, Galehead
Conditions: Footing was hard & crunchy from Little River Road to the road in to the summer lot, then it was snowshoes all day until we got back out to Gale River Road (then back to light traction --- Beaver Brook ski trails look grim for skiing). We had a group of 8 breaking out the trails over the Twins and down to the hut. Met up with another hiker at the hut who was hiking Galehead; he and one other person had been on Galehead & the Gale River Trail. We also ran into three overnite hikers who had broken out Garfield Ridge Trail from Mt. Garfield. These trails should be in great shape over the coming week with no new big snow presently in the forecasts.
