Took Ammonoosuc Ravine to Crawford, then Jewel trail on the way down.
Started hiking around 8:30 am. At the first trail sign I was putting my Kooltie in a gray jar filled with water. Unfortunately I forgot to take it with me and its still there on top of the trail sign (anyone finds it send me an email [email protected]). It was a cloudy day and the trail was a bit wet and slippery in spots. Got to lake of the clouds hut and ate lunch. We ditched the packs and went up to Monroe. The whole time we were in the clouds and had no views . Went down back to Lake of the Clouds and got our backpacks. Then we started the hike up Washington. Got to the top with visibility around 50 feet. We stayed at the top for a while, bought some food and souvenirs from the gift shop. Then we started the hike down Jewel trail. About half an hour later I look up and Washington is out of the clouds. We got some of a view when we went on Mt Clay.
