Trail Conditions: Webster Cliff to Webster mostly dry, with some wet, slippery rocks. Leaves and pine spills added to the fun. Muddy between Webster and Jackson, some areas are difficult to get through or around without getting wet. More slick rock on the way down Webster Jackson.

Special Equipment Required: Poles may have been helpful in the mud. Grippy shoes for the rocks. Sense of humor and a strong tail bone.

Comments: Beautiful day in Crawford Notch. It was downright hot at times and I was mad I hadn't worn shorts or zip offs. Still plenty of color left down low, and plenty of leaf peepers to go with it. They are paving 302 from Willey House site up to Crawford Depot and improving the drainage. This section of road needs a sidewalk, trail, or a real breakdown lane. It was a little unnerving walking back to the Willey House with a dog. #34 for Yogi. Slowly closing in.
