Trail Conditions: The rerouted McCrillis Path does not appear to be officially open; however, it is mostly well flagged with a good foot way and is straightforward to follow. If ascending, leave the Whiteface Intervale road at a large conservation land sign on the left about 1 mile from the Forest Service parking area. Follow the main jeep road up and you will pick up the flagging.
Special Equipment Required: Mosquitoes were brutal near the trail head. Black flys were fierce on the upper Whiteface ledges. Bug spray mandatory.
Comments: A lot of hikers on Blueberry Ledges. Great views, bugs were tough. I had McCrillis Path and McCrillis Trail to myself.
