Can you ski on this road in winter? If so, is there enough snow to do so? We're heading over to North Conway for lack of anything else to do tomorrow, and thought we'd try to ski somewhere (preferably free...) while we're there.

Thanks!

If that is the road that goes to the top of Cathedral Ledge, yes it is gated for the winter. It is quite steep in places, nowhere is it level. I'll bet the Nanomocomuck will be sweet this morning with this fresh powder. Go up the Kancamagus to the Passaconaway Bridge parking lot. Walk over the bridge, the trail starts there (turn left) at the gate.

Thanks. We don't mind steep; we sort of figure that if cars can do it, we can ski it. Since we're coming from further north, we'll be headed through Bartlett, but we'll check out Nanomocomucuck if we don't have any success off of 302.

How much snow do you have your way? We're a bit north of Franconia Notch and only got less than an inch last night.
