Mount Jackson?

Has anyone been up to Mount Jackson in the last few days? I was thinking of heading up tomorrow and was wondering what to pack for my feet to wear, snowshoes, crampons etc... Had not seen the Webster Jackson trail mentioned lately. Thanks in advance. Christine

I was up there on sat. We came in on the Webster Cliff trail from the Mizpah cut off. If it hasn't snowed since then the trail is packed out. We brought ours shoes and had to use them for a while. Two other hikers who were faster hikers, passed us and broke most of the trail for us. The summit was snow cover and no need for crampons.

If any of you climb this peak using the Webster-Jackson Trail, please post a reply as to the approximate number of blowdowns you encounter. I like to know what to expect in advance of the trailwork season.

If memory serves, there was only one that required a brief crawl.

Dugan - I think you have Sat and Sun mixed up. There was a crawl on teh Willey Ridge trail Sat. No blow downs on Jackson.
