Bicknell has more views, but the Circle trail comes out closer to Eagle Crag. Go clockwise, up the ledges on South.

This will be my 14th year on my trail section and I find a great sense of accomplishment and of doing good work every time I go out.

I agree with Raven. I've maintained my section (Baldface Circle trail section) for 13 years now, and enjoy it a lot. Grab one of these if you aren't already, and give it a go.

Yep, the southern gate, at least, was open last Friday. Didn't go all the way through.

I had a couple of hours to kill while in North Conway on the 23rd and got about halfway up. Absolutely no sign of snow anywhere on that day. Hope this helps.

I also kinda like the summit signs. I wasn't really sure that I'd hit Wildcat E until I'd gotten to the ski-lift and had strolled over to each false peak that I'd come to.

Easy hikes. Peaked and Middle mtns Mt. Willard/Avalon Mt. Tom Mt. Potash/Hedgehog Mtn The Doubleheads Mt. Crawford Mt. Crescent all of these have views, all are fun.

I had read that Carlo Col trail was wrecked by logging and called Pinkham to verify. She said that it was badly damaged, but thought that Goose Eye wasn't too bad. I have a chance to go on Monday and wondered if anyone had any more up to date info on Goose Eye trail.

There is good camping at the Slippery Brook/Baldface knob junction, with water a bit down the S.B. trail towards mtn pond, if it's not too dry. As for the second night, I would suggest heading down to the west of the Baldface trail beyond N. Baldface in order to have some water; campsites...
