Trek For Peace - Chocorua and The Sisters - Full Report
The pictures do most of the talking in this one. Fabulous hike but bitterly cold and windy up high. I'd brought hat and gloves but my friend didn't; his digits were not far from frostnip after a relatively brief stay on the summit. Never underestimate "small" mountains in this area!!
Also the steep upper parts of the Carter Ledge trail, heading over toward the ridge, are extremely steep and would be not-fun when wet or icy. If you go, pick a good day like we did.
One more note --I feel like this is a great peak to break in newer hikers, too. It is a serious, long, steep-at-times hike but the rewarding views happen early and it's by no means a bear for most walkable/curious souls.
