Trails: Sawyer River Rd, Carrigan Notch, Signal Ridge
Date of Hike: 02-05-2011
Parking lot adjacent to Sawyer River Rd not plowed but packed by snowmachines. There is a plowed lot across the street (Bear Iron Something)
Snow, snow, snow and more snow.
Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes
Second stream crossing on Carrigan Notch trail not stable.
Comments: Sawyer River Rd well packed and groomed since last storm. Carrigan Notch trail broken out to Signal Ridge. Signal Ridge contained knee to waist deep powder snow all the way to the summit - Now broken out by a tired and sore old guy wearing MSR's. A tough day on the trails. W#42
