Trail Conditions: 8 inches fresh heavy wet snow..a few unstable places in steeps where new snow slid off old layer..
Special Equipment: Snowshoes and poles for sure and the goretex look with snowladen branches and mixed snow sleet and rain showers
Comments: Nice day in the woods...silent..with only multiple deer tracks for company and the occasional glob of snow falling from spruce trees..trail a bit obscure in places but now beaten out to summit and down to col heading over to Livermore. Mini slides in spots descending into col with unstable snow layers made for some fun..played around with map and compass back to the car..easy bushwack with open woods and logging roads..Fun close to home!!
