Follensby Clear, Polliwog, Little Polliwog, Horseshoe, & Fish Creek Ponds 05/25/2012
Lovely day, mostly overcast, and windy. But the overcast made the temperatures perfect, and the wind blew the mosquitoes away when we were out on the ponds. We had lunch out on the water due to the voracious nature of the mosquitoes in the wooded carry paths. As we paddled out in the late morning the campsites were less than 10% full. But as the afternoon wore on and as we drove out of the area in the afternoon, we saw many more canoes and kayaks. This will be a busy Memorial Day weekend for these ponds.
