conditions - bare ground low, running water in afternoon, snow. Some blowdowns to climb over or go around. Had trouble trail finding in "intervale" below Davis Path. Melting snow on branches on Davis Path were dry on return - Dave & I dried out our clothes on summit in bright sun. Davis Path is still difficult to follow as it was in March. On return in the afternoon, the snow was softer and in places the monorail was rotten.
equipment - snowshoes were a must, we carried micros but never used them, poles
comments - there were many wet areas on first bushwhack from h-o-l. Our tracks were difficult to find due to much melting that had occurred. The short whack avoiding the upper two crossings was necessary due to high snow banks dropping right into river. The upper whack to the Davis Path was easy though we stayed high on ridge to avoid getting into spruce traps.
