Trail Conditions: Fairly hard packed powder with deeper drifts on the ridge in the col
Special Equipment Required: A grin and some dance shoes! No, really, layers and layers of clothing. Traction devices were very useful (stabilicers or snowshoes) but not strictly necessary.
Comments: Deciding that I was an old fart and not up to a Liberty/ Flume traverse, I "persuaded" Mr GlennS that just Liberty would be more than enough ice-cold hiking for both of us. Gorgeous sunny skies belied the official temperature of "#@!!*** cold" and we did not look forward to the gusty bare summit. Oddly, the summit was more comfortable than the col below it as by the time we reached the summit we were wearing every stitch of clothing we had. Great day, even though our wives are thinking of having us psychologically tested for insanity...
