Thought there was already a thread for this, but couldn't find it.
Anyone picked up the new AMC Mass trail guide yet? How up-to-date is it? The one place I know backwards and forwards--the eastern half of the Fells--is badly dated. Despite the 2009 date (and prior 2004 revision) of the book, my 2002 map matches the ground better. The Rock Circuit trail no longer goes over Pinnacle Rock; the Mini Rock Circuit has been replaced with a short Rock Circuit Connector, and the Virginia Wood trail is cut back to the northernmost end of the Rock Circuit. I'd get lost very quickly trying to follow anything based on the book's description.
I hope this is a fluke and other areas have been better updated, but I'm reluctant to buy the book without some confirmation, especially since some of the places I want to check out (BCT) are in a bit of flux anyhow.
