Parking on Base Rd.

A couple of us are hiking Monroe this Saturday, and would like to make a loop out of it by hiking up the Ammo. over the Crawford Path and out by Edmands Path if possible. Does anyone know if it is OK to park a car at the intersection of the Base Rd. and Clinton Rd?

I wouldn't park there on the road. Your best bet is to try and pull into the small area they plow out on the entrance to the Ammonusuc trailhead. Otherwise you can park at Base road on the lower left lot for $5 a day. Last year you could park at the Edmunds trailhead but I don't know about that this year. We spotted cars, one at Cog base and one in Crawford Notch.

Thanks for the information guys. I appreciate it If we are lucky enough to get a nice day on Saturday we may attempt the ridge from Monroe and out to Crawford rather than Edmands.....
