I shot these yesterday.

I'm thinking about going back and try more variations of the shot.
 
It may just be my monitor but the image looks pretty dark. It is hard to really appreciate all the interesting textures you have within the frame. Perhaps try brightening the image a bit. Just enough to see the cones better, but not so much that you spoil the mood that the gentle natural lighting creates.

thank you. I do have a tendency to favor the dark lately. I like the light but I plan on re-shooting it under even gentler light.
 
It seems a bit dark to me too. Try getting in a little tighter to the pine cones. There is some wasted space in the top left and top right that could be filled up and give you more detail in the cones (if you got in closer the cones would be bigger in the frames and you could see more detail). I like the pano intimate landscape concept though. Post the new versions when you get them.
