A little culture! :D

The Institute of History, Archaeology, and Education (IHARE) is pleased to offer following "A Day in Programs" at various municipalities in New York State. Many of these are in the Hudson-Champlain Valleys. The intent is to provide an immersion experience in the history, art, and ecology of a community by spending an entire day within a specific area and by including talks, walks, tours, and water activities whenever possible along with lunch and dinner. Hopefully a person will leave such a program with a sense of knowing the area. These programs are grouped in three many areas:

The Lower Hudson
The Mid-Hudson
The Capital Region

plus Oswego. In addition there are thematic programs such as Hudson River Art and Forts of the Empire State which may involve more area but a more specific focus.

A "Day in Program" also can be applied to other areas and to such events as The Ramble, in the event there is one, or to River Day. In many communities such a program has tourist potential and could be integrated into the Metronorth schedule.

Thank you for your time,

Peter
