Which one is better?

There is something about all of those shots that I like. The first, has an old New England feel. The other two I like because you can see the beautiful colors of the new snow and fading light/blue sky/continued snow showers.

And not for the roads..

Which is more effective?

Of the three bus photos, I think the first was more effective. It looks as though you were going for a sepia tone but the bus seemed too new to be an effective sepia tone photo (my taste; not a hard and fast rule). I cropped the first photo like this:

Of the second group I think the first has much more promise than the second but it has too much sky. Again, when all else fails (not that it's a failure), crop. Like this:

I like that you have the camera right on the yellow stripe.

It was nice that we were the only ones on the road. Of course, that could have been a bad thing, since the road conditions were terrible.:) Oh well, it was worth it.
