Parked at Brickett Place off Rt. 113, ascended Bickford Brook Trail to summit of Speckled Mtn (2906'). This was a well-maintained trail, dry, easy on the feet, easy to follow, took approx. 2 hours to summit (4.5 miles one way). What a spectacular day with some of the best views ever. Foliage is near peak in this area, with some of the brightest reds and oranges we've seen. Just marvelous. We descended vial Blueberry Ridge Trail, what a treat that was! Views just got better and better as we hiked along the open ledges. Steeper on this side but still easy footing and well maintained. Another 4 + miles to descend for a total of approx. 8.6 miles round trip. Great day! Thanks to Gerry, Bev and Kathryn! - Lisa
