Snowfield

These guys must look like Popeye after that shovelfest... :D

A small group of us crossed the Cog up high on Saturday, and had no idea that they were running until we saw the black smoke coming up from behind us. We did happen to notice the Obs person who was setting up a tripod to take our picture :)

This is definitely going to be one of those springs where deet AND snowshoes will be required on the same hike :eek:

Imagine how that photo would've looked if the cog was carrying tourists and we gave them the typical hikers' salute ;)

As a sidelight to this, I have a friend who is building the new diesel engine for the Cog railway. He told me this past Tuesday that the official inauguration will be on Labor Day.
