    Worlds Fastest Summiter

    Has anyone read about this guy? Pretty amazing!

    My favorite "speed summiter" is Ueli Steck. His aerobic capacity is otherworldly.

    Here is a video of him running at 10,000 feet (and above). The guy's incredible.

    I'm not convinced these guys are really human.

    But then I've said that about posters on VftT for a variety of reasons.

    My leg muscles are burning just watching the video.

    Impressive...I mean that we wear the same softshell, not that he's all that fast.
    Nice video, though.

    Two things crossed my mind while watching that;

    a) What's the rush ? and

    2) A scene from Star Wars;

    Luke: There's nothing to see. I used to live here, you know.
    Han Solo: You're gonna die here, you know. Convenient.

    Meh.

    Steck is alright, I guess, but he picks easy stuff like the Eiger, Grandes Jorasses and Matterhorn.

    Let's see how fast he'd be on a winter Presi Traverse!

    Gotta say that he does move pretty fast, not having to put in pro. Maybe there's something to this whole "free-soloing" thing...

    I wonder if they check the conditions reports on VFTT to see if the root is packed out first. That is some pretty crazy stuff.

    I just had a vision of the little lemur wearing a puffy, snow pants, and crampons and waving an ice axe and squeaking "I walk fast!" It just about killed me, funniest thing I've seen all day.
