Trail marathoner Karl Metzler, who is trying to run the AT SoBo in 47 days, is stuck in Bennington VT while a nasty case of trenchfoot (aka hyperhydrosis) heals. He picked it up after running 300 miles on soggy trails in Maine, where he began his AT speed record attempt on August 5. Here's his site. Warning: it has a nasty picture of his "immersion foot."
