  • The possibility of getting homemade cookies has pulled me to doing the Franconia Ridge Saturday, so I won't be heading to Sawyer River Road. Thank you again for the invite, however, and I hope you guys have a good hike! Hope to join you again sometime in the future.
Thank you, I'll drop a post in that thread if I decide to go for it (I'll try and decide if I'm a yes by Thursday). Thank you again for the invite!
Perhaps I can try hypnosis :) I don't know if it's the road walk that gets me, so much as it is the additional 3 flat miles *after* the road walk that remind me of a road walk! Could be worse, though, could be Lincoln Woods!
Earl - thank you for the invite! Though roadwalks tend to deter me from peaks, Carrigain is always tempting! I'll let you know if I'm in!
a new post just today makes it look like the brutus-bushwack may also be broken out ...
Hi Big Earl - I have a group also doing Owlshead tomorrow (1/24). We are starting at 7:00. I actually may have more than the WMNF groupsize limit of 10. I have done the brutus-bushwack route before but I heard from UFCM (Steve) that the whole route via the slide is broken out. Happy to team up with you to break out the brutus-bushwack ... let me know if you would like to coordinate. Dave Langley (vftt: Peak576) --- [email protected]
Please don't apologize... I'm still without power in Milford. It's been a rough few days. I really am looking forward to the Owl's Head hike. It'll be nice to escape to the mountains.
I have absolutely no problem at all with open calling it. More the merrier (well, up to 10 people obviously due to the rather silly Wilderness rules). This past weekend Russ and I spent the last hour to hour and half under headlamps....so no issues there ;) )
You are the best! I have such a blast whenever I hike with you guys, so please do keep me informed of any hikes that you have planned for the near future... :)

I will probably take you up on the carpooling now that we're heading into winter. My little car has a lot of trouble handling snowy/icy roads, and I wouldn't want that to stop me from hiking.
No, thank you for being kind enough to let me tag along with you. The hike was just incredible, one of the best that I've been on this year (beautiful views and awesome company... what more could I ask for). I'm really looking forward to hiking with you again!
