  • Thanks for your coming along yesterday. Your knowledge of the trail helped us accomplish our goal. Can't thank you enough.
No, you didn't miss anything - I just sent Trish a message in her greenie on one of the snowshoe threads. I get pain behind my knee and cramping in my hamstrings when I'm hiking with snowshoes on. It didn't happen last year but has been an ongoing issue this year. Take the snowshoes and all is well so I'll hike without them if I can :)
You are welcome!!! Have fun hiking today!! If I don't see you again this weekend, I will be up the first weekend of April. I may even hike!! :=)
hey..yes..you need to react to wind situation.sorry that you were stuck indoors today..we knew lots of folks above treeline today...the comfy chairs, great food open bar help alot at this series of business meetings however..this weather comes along for only a couple of days a month and hate to miss..bonds and zealand will happen before the 19th,,have to make judgement on future weather but am confident it will happen though would have preferred to go through with the regular group with whom I have been going all year.......good luck to you as well
I had given up hope on this place and then Darren (after about 3 months) finally emailed me last night.

No presis today nor tomorrow, I've been in the same situation as you though, but I've got mediocre chairs at best. If the higher summits forecast holds tomorrow I might make a midnight run at Pierce and Ike tomorrow night though. Not the best idea, but gotta take the low winds when you can get them.

Bonds and Zealand for you this weekend?
Your welcome! After this weekend I have FOUR weekends off in a row -- hoping to hike at least one of them -- training for Boston is hitting its most time consuming right now with the long runs in the 16-20 mile range over the next five weeks, sundays are the best days for those.
We were on the Garfield Ridge Peaks. There are two NHHH (actually, one was just delisted) Between Garfield and Galehead, both off the GRT. We 'whacked down from the GRT to the Gale River trail (ha, that's abbrev GRT too!) through a steep fun bit of woods. I caught your old Lic off the corner of my eye in the parking lot.
Thanks for the greenie and the sob story! The carters were easy on the way up but the long way down did me in. I am very tired for some reason this week. Hope to perk up by Sat.
Thanks for the birthday greetings, Mark. Hit the double-double nickels this year: 55, cuz I was born in '55. And my knees let me know it on every long hike!

See you at the C-Man on Friday? I'm going to try to make it.
    Oh, blessssss!

    Thank you!

Got me some good loot (an antique AMC guide) and Sandra took me out to lunch. Life is lovely.
