    MacNaoughton from Upper Works

    actually there is a stream about 10 - 15 minutes past wallface leanto, not on the map, takes you up the drainage to the south bump of mac. with good snow it is a real nice whack. really not thick at all. especially if you can stay in the brook! it's the best way to go.

    Allen for my W46 on March 9th

    it was way too nice to be cold. had to be at least 15 most of the day. just a little breeze now and then! ii think the coldest part was the butt slide. you were kicking up all that snow right into your face and sliding so fast, it felt like ice pellets hitting you. and yes i did step in a brook...

    great day for a finish, we were too fast , the sun didn't come out until 5, and then it was gone way too fast. cloudy and snowy all day. but a hard packed trail, and a couple of jumps across a scream or two, and we made it to the top in 7 1/2 hrs.

    Is Upper Lean-To near Cliff/Redfield still there?

    spencer and i broke redfield out sunday. cliff unbroken with a foot of snow. we are going in sunday to climb cliff from flowed lands.

    Rocky Peak Ridge bushwhack

    decided to start from the round pond trailhead, then mostly follow the ridge to rocky peak. first 1/m mile i climbed 500 ft. through mostly open woods, lots of rock and very steep in places. then headed to the little slide at the end of the ridge. very nice open rock for 1/4 mile to the top...
