Route: north from Kidney Pond over both peaks to Nesowadnehunk Field Campground.
Date of Hike: 09/20/2008
Trail Conditions: a few very muddy spots on the ascent to the south peak, which is steep in spots. A few old blow downs. Stream crossings all easily managed.
Special Equipment Required: gore tex boots, shorty gaiters, poles always helpful.
Comments: Cool, sunny day, Fantastic views. Nice running into Marianne's MOAC group on the south summit. Also very nice meeting and chatting with Steve, Kathy (aka Pudgy Groundhog) and their adorable 10 month old baby Norah on the south summit. Their photographs inspired me to backpack the Teton Crest. What are the odds?!
Thanks to John for a great hike. Thanks to John, John, Mike and Scott for a great weekend at Kidney Pond.
