Date of Hike: 10/6/09
Trail Conditions: Wet, slick, some mud up Falling Waters and down Greenleaf and Old Bridle; wet on the ridge.
Special Equipment Required: Hat, gloves, shell, extra layer on the ridge - poles helped with the slick conditions.
Comments: It was foggy (completely socked), windy, damp, and cold on the ridge - so much for the partly cloudy forecast. Hit the trail at 9:40 - no views at all until descending Old Bridle - actually got a pretty good show of the peak notch colors once we got a partial clearing on the descent. After reading the other reports of the day, don't feel so bad about not changing the plan in the parking lot. Then again, any day on the ridge is better than the office...
