Packed snow (an inch or so overnight) over some ice all the way to the summit. Great with crampons or other traction devices. No other special equipment needed. Most hikers equipped that way.
Great day for the three Amigos: Turbo, Nitro and Super G who now becomes simply Mr. "PB". About 25 to 30 hikers on a cloudy to bright sun day then some clouds. Summit rocks coated with rime snow if there is such a thing. It is always different. No hiking day is the same for us except the exceptional company. John and Jerry failed to answer the bell. No surprise!!
Only two hikers went up the White Cross.
