  • Ok, now I remember. It was funny I said I was definitely not going to descend the Flume Slide in winter.... kind of like the time I said I was just looking at a new car and bought it in the end. I actually thought Pine Bend Brook was harder to descend when we did it a few weeks ago... it was probably the conditions were *perfect* on the slide. Did you figure we took the slide? I was glad we saw Michael at the junction.

Hey Una. I hike with Silverfox and some of the Over the Hill gang. Hope to see you on the trails.
Absolutely! I hope she's doing the ridge tomorrow! If she chooses to go elsewhere, I may have to ditch you guys and follow her! :)
I am basically on there cuz ADKDREMN made me lol also I have been reconnecting with old highschool friends which is cool.
Bummer about the 46er led hike. Technically, the 46er's do not lead hikes, but of course any 46r can lead a hike if that is what you mean.
Hey there! Just thought I'd give you an update on Colorado. It turns out we have a few days less than I expected, and one day we'll be with a non-hiker. So the plan at this point is to go on a jeep trip for one day up a 14er. Then, for a Thursday through Sunday my dad and I will go on some sort of backpacking trip. There will be too much snow for a peak ascent I've been told by a couple contacts out there, but I'm thinking about some sort of loop or something, maybe between 20 and 40 miles. We'll see what happens!
We already have plans for that weekend. :(
How about March 29-30, unless the snow is crap. I know this isn't officia winter but it might still be winter conditions.
Hey, I don't even know how this "conversation" thing works but here goes . . . I would love to get a hike together sometime soon. Winter weekends are pretty well filled up but maybe the first weekend of spring? We can let her pick her hike of choice or Tecumseh sounds great.
Yes, that would be the person, that sounds good to me. He has always told me I would be a good hiking buddy for Seema. I am not in his league at all!!!
I am virgin to hiking in the winter, so I need guidance and someone who will be willing to hike with me to get the experience.
