  • Lol, no you don't :D That's what I thought too, when I was wanting to start earning my turns. In this thread we go a little into the backcountry options:

btw, those pics were taken on the East Coast ;)

    uh oh, this might've been a can of worms :D :D :D :D
WOW! 1000 photos, that's quite a bit, haha! Sounds like a really nice trip. When my family and I went to Alaska in 2007 I took over 800 pictures, so you guess I know what you mean!
I definately agree! Even if it is something on the East Coast I know west coast stuff is far from my budget at the moment lol
Thanks! I will for sure, and I'll probably write some sort of trip report, too. I'm getting so excited, this will be only my second time out west to hike! I can't wait :)
Hey, it's going well, thanks! It turns out my dad has a friend who lives in Denver, so he has given us some great advice as well, and might go with us. We're thinking about a 14 mile backpack, and then some peak climbing as well. If there's still snow, we might bring our snowshoes and crampons too, we're still considering that. Next week I'm home from break, and will get that book out of our home library, and do some more research. There are too many opportunities, though! It's like trying to plan where to hike for a weekend in the Northeast, too many choices!!

I loved looking at your skiing pictures! I looks like you had an excellent time, glad you were able to do it! Welcome back to the Northeast :D
Nice new group! Our dog is too old to hike up mountains now, but I have lots of fond memories with him since I was a kid, hiking and camping in winter and summer!
you should start a social group for trail doggies...unless there is one already..i didnt look.
Sabrina, thank you so much for your kind offer, you're too nice for you own good! I don't want o inconvenience you, though! My college library doesn't have it, but our library back at home does, so I'll just look into it when I'm back for break. Thank you though, again, very much for being willing to do that :D
Sabrina will be temporarily offline and skiing her freakin' legs off in Lake Tahoe for the next several days. Have a wonderful weekend!
Thank you so much! I know you've been having a blast skiing, but I hope we can hike together soon... ;)
oh yeah, second to last molar

they used alot of drill bits -- different sizes and diameters....lots of needles, too.
now that's a good time... probably way in the back impossible to reach...been there done that..isn't dentistry really the most archaic of "medical" things..they are still using hammer and tongs..hope it feels better though
