Alpine Garden Trail 6/4/2010 from Mt Washington Auto Road -- denied

Went to hike down from the Cow Pasture to Alpine Garden but there was a large steep untrammeled patch of snow about 30'-50' across on the steep part, no easy way around. We had other constraints so did not attempt.

Hopefully by now the way is clear. Diapensia lapponica, Loiseleuria procumbens, Rhododendron lapponicum now in their glory at 5700'.
