Anybody know what happened to the totally awesome NOAA.gov "New England Snow Depth Map"? This was my favorite reference for helping me pick where to go snowshoeing and skiing all winter long. I can't find it on the noaa website anymore since the link obviously changed...hmmm....

Here is what the map used to look like:

That link pulls up the image: http://www.nws.noaa.gov/nerfc/graphics/snowmaps/sd1_today.jpg

I don't have the .html link, but http://www.nws.noaa.gov/nerfc/graphics/snowmaps/sf1_today.jpg is the image for a 24 hour snowfall map.

You can also get up to 6-day predicted snowfall maps for the NE at http://www.snow-forecast.com/maps/static/appal/full (3-day snow maps for much of the world can be found at http://www.snow-forecast.com/ )

Doug & Vinovampire - thanks for those links! I'm glad to see the map will still be used. One of these days i hope that NOAA will make their website more user-friendly with better search capabilities.
