Trails were dry and excellently maintained, not a blown down to be stepped over or ducked under. Bugs not biting yet. Tolerable at the summits if you keep moving.
Heard Bicknell's thrush. Tame male spruce grouse displaying just down the trail past Waumbek.
Busy trail today, full parking lots everywhere.
No special equipment needed, maybe sunscreen.
