  • Thanks for the greenie!!! The traverse in Acadia was just awesome. If I did it again...I would bring a water filter!!!
    Hi Silverfox,
I am so sorry! I didn't see the Private Message notification until this morning, so Tim didn't get the message about the Trys. Now he's cranky that he missed it! :)

His email is [email protected]. It would probably be better if you email him directly in the future. I'm proving not to be reliable. ha ha.

    Sorry again,
    Valerie
Mark, thank you so much for the green square. I, too, enjoyed your company on the Trish and Alex Moosilauke hike -- we need Sandra along for the next one...she'll have you in stitches!
Yes, I am quite excited. This is the 1st year I've requested the W/E off to participate.
I'm just a bit nervous about my pace (SLOW). I'll get there though. How is the knee?
Hey, thanks! You're a great guy, and I want to hike with you sometime (if you'll have me, and if I can keep up!).
What a pleasure it was spending some time with you on Sunday. I always enjoy your company -- and thanks for your patience with my dog. Look forward to hiking together again soon.
Thanks Mark!!! I've definitely pushed myself beyond what I thought I could do this summer and it feels good. We're taking a break from hiking while the weather is nice and enjoying the water as much as possible - water skiing, etc.

Hope all is well with you - it certainly looks like you've been enjoying the mountains this summer.
No problem- as we walked out we felt the same thing. Easy on the legs AND the eyes. We talked that that walk could be a nice destination of its own on a day when summits aren't the priority...

    Enjoy the trails..........
hey..thanks for the green square you guys..too kind..great day up high tho..planning on all weekend festivities including moose, cman, baldfaces etc..taking a few days off and camping up at sugarloaf w/nephew ben from sunday on and will catch a few peaks with him
Hey! Are you in for all the events next weekend??? I am very excited to hike the Assquam's with you guys! We hope to make the Common Man, will be at Rick's, and am really looking forward to the Baldfaces!!!
Lots of visitors - but I did climb into the clouds yesterday to visit Mt. Jefferson. I tried to do a trip report, but it 'disappeared' into cyberspace.
Mark -- thanks for the green square.

Thanks, too, for the heads-up about this Tuesday (August 11). I'm pretty slammed with work, though, both business-related and outside house maintenance (painting...finally have dry weather)...Thursday may work, though...let me check with the boss.
Thanks, Silverfox! Alex definitely wanted to do the slides....but now that's she's done them (and the Owl's Head slide), I think she's had enough for a while, lol. We had originally planned on doing the Flume Slide, but now it'll be Osseo in both directions.
I'm in Maine on vacation this week. :)
I am hiking on friday, but not sure where yet....baldfaces maybe????
We went hut 7:45 to south twin at 9, guyot at 10, ... , guyot at 3, south at 4:25, hut 5:15
Thanks Silverfox, for both your thoughts, and the rep!, oh, and your greeting to the club too!
