[Paradox]

The title is retro for an advertising jingle from the late 1960's for a brand of dog food. I have enjoyed the great photos we have seen of our dogs. I am thinking of photos we have seen of Terra running toward the camera with her ears up, Genie sitting and waiting for her master, Dylan snitching the cookie, the shots we have seen of Atticus, to name but a few. Let's see some photos of your noble pooch doing great dog stuff.

What a great idea for a thread, Paradox. Thanks for starting it, and I'm anxious to see more photos of the dogs we've come to know and love here on VFTT.

My hiking partner, Tuckerman, came from a shelter in Vermont -- he was found with his brother in the woods in Virginia last fall. He's mostly Plott Hound (the brindle coloring is the giveaway) and he behaves like a hound: if there's something to sniff rather than look at, he's all about the sniff. Thus, views tend not to impress him. Moose poop, however...

This shot of Tuckerman chilling in Lonesome Lake was taken last weekend on our northern Kinsman Cross hike:

I like this one too, taken on North Kinsman at the end of March when Tuckerman was six months old, on the occasion of his first 4K:

Here's our Maxx the Wonder Mutt Avec Summer Cut a few years ago chillin' out at 10 Mile River here on the AT;

and here crashed out some other time in front of the SD and BA;

Maxx is now 16 1/2 and borrowing each day, but still has a great puppy attitude and love of his "pack". He has never bagged a high-peak but has treed more than his share of possum and racoon in his day. It's all he can do now to move the deer out of the yard and prevent the geese from landing.
