Thanks Tim - I'm going to try an get 60 miles in this weekend and see how I hold up. I think I'll be fine, it's the really hot days slow me down. I'm just doing this NH(48) event as a personal Challege. I like to push myself well beyond my comfort zone from time to time.

I still have those snow shoes that didn't work for me at all. This weekend I'm going to do the CT AT. That will give me a idea of what shape I'm in. I have the endurance, but if we get some super hot days I might have leg cramps.

I remember watching an interview when he was making his 14 Everest Climb. He said, this will be my last time. If I keep doing this; that mountain is going to take me one of these times. :)

Doug - I tried to do as much as I could for the short amount of time I was there. I found the Kohala Forest area to be really beautiful. :)

Simply put! The more people that get out there and enjoy the outdoors. The more easier it will be to protect the wilderness. You noticed the drilling for oil in the Alaskan Wilderness was shot down again. :)

3 Bonds I want to do the 3 Bonds in a day Hike in Winter. Of course Mother Nature would be the one deciding if she wants to let me succeed or not. I'm thinking about doing it on New Years Day, if any of you want to join me for that. Just let me know. And we can go over some details.
