  • Thanks for the greenie and the comment. Sometimes I think my TRs are too technical and dry (scientist by training and nature) so I've been making an effort to personalize them a bit more.
I don't think any Boy Scouts will be lining up to take your picture, either!
Yes some Boston police officer is correct sir! The colonel would of been in chuckles today for this halfway mark up the hill (haha, who dares to think about that?) Ray and you are now my profile picture for this day especially, the sixth.
Summer is going great. Getting ready to put the house on the market and in the process of buying another one. You sure cant beat the interest rates right now. I hope one day we can meet as well. Maybe you can be my guide in the Whites. I want to get up there soon.
Hey Marty! Are you coming to the Adirondack BBQ at Spencers and Maddy's this year? If so I will see you there.
    Take care my friend,
    Adam
Marty, I tried calling you last night around 8.30 and my guess the lines were tied up. I will make another attempt to relay my Katahdin adventures.
You're welcome, and thank you! Yes, it's a little weird posting on a crackberry, but it did work, so why not? Vacation x technology = strange brew.

    See you out there, --Mike.
My callender for that weekend is open. NKD and White Cap sound good. What about Boundary Peak? I just got writeup and maps from 4K committee. I also inherited Bill Bowdens topo collection so I have plenty o' maps. Just boned up on this 3some and see they are frequently done together.

Maybe next day we could do couple of 4K's ... that way I can progress on both fronts ... suggest we start communing via email.
I'm a slave to both NEHH and NE67. Finding collaborators is harder than the list. So if you're seeking to assemble groups for HH in Baxter or Whitecap & Kennebago I'm interested. I kinda prefer bushwhacks anyway. Throw out some dates!
    Ray,
Congrats on your newly achieved and richly deserved Mt. Steward Status. No uniform or special emails from Darren, or anything. Just a lighter shade of green!

Let me know when you are thinking of heading up there. Would love to join you. Haven't done the Bigelows in six years (long overdue) and Saddleback/Horn are always a favorite. I don't know of anyone heading up except for Rols/Tuco, who are going after the peaks you did last weekend.

I am hoping to do Whitecap and North Kennebago Divide this summer. Those and the Baxter peaks are all remaining in my Hundred Highest quest. Any interest in that bushwhack?

    Best regards!
    Marty
Thanks for the green square Marty. I'm now a Mountain Steward! So when does the new uniform come? I'd like to get up to Rangeley area for one more stab at NE67. I'm thinking of doing a lollipop loop on Bigelow and easier Saddleback and Horn by ski slopes. Any interest? Or have you heard of any folks going up?
Thanks for the greenage! Glad the knee is feeling better, I guess the rest of us are in trouble now!
Hey Clarke! It is getting much better. I feel confident that I can do just about anything at this point. Am running/trail running up to 5 miles and did Killington with Tuco last Saturday. Actually found the spur trail to the summit, rather than doing the ski slopes again! I am hoping to be hiking in the Whites soon and will be in touch. It will not be this weekend or next, however. So how r u doing? How is the summer job?? Regards, Marty
Yup, when I'm thirsty nothing quenches it like ice-cold skim milk. Plus, I had a touch of dehydration headache and a beer would have exacerbated that to the point of possibly ruining my dinner, and with Moat Mountain meat planned... :)
