  • We're leaving tomorrow and attempting PatN Wednesday, Scar Ridge Thursday. Looks like it will be hot. Your help is always appreciated and we both thank you. And we're really happy about your nuptials--send us a photo for Peeks please!
You have exceeded your PM limit.

"Hell no they hate dogs there and you will be stopped and fined.
You can get those peaks as an out and back from Elk Lake. Or you can take the Gravestone Brook Bushwack up to Dial then tag Dial, Nippletop, Colvin, Blake and back - very long day, best split into two separate hikes if you want to take the Zipster.
I did the Gravestone for Dial and NTop with Terra, did Colvin and Blake solo.
Let me know if I can help with Beta on Gravestone, IIRC it was an easy due west whack alongside the flumes of the brook until they petered out and then a straight shot uphill to the trail.

    "Hey Sabrina,

Do you happen to know if I can take Zippy up the Lake Road to do Colvin and Blake?

    John"

    Thank you! :(

I thought that it might be a problem from a report I heard several years ago. With this in mind, I'll likely just do the Sewards on Saturday with BillB.

Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday. :)
July 19 came and went and I forgot to send this note. As you and Lauky share a birthday I'm reminded to wish you Happy Birthday.
thanks for the pie greenie...brough a holderness store pie to after funeral party,,it was a hit..blueberry, strawbery rhubabrb and dutch apple so far... yummm
Yes, Carmen was there that day! I have only hiked with her a few times, but she is a strong hiker, and a very nice person.
Thanks for the greenie! Sorry to hear about back problems - hope all goes well with that. Jonathan
It was a near perfect day. Sorry to hear about your back. We've had our share of back problems this year too.
Thanks for your nice comments on my Monroe trip report (6/12). I am still in the process of discovering all of the functions of the VFTT site, and only just now found your message.

Ha ha, so true! The laces I have on an OLD pair of Merrells are so loose they are not functional in anyway. I periodically have to tear off sections of the sole as they loosen so they won't get caught on any uneven surface and stumble me, but I love 'em.
Thanks for the feedback Sabrina! Your suggestion has certainly not been lost on my trail-runners! They are now the ultimate multi-task footwear.
