  • Looked awesome, been on my list for a long time. Thanks for putting it up! --Mike.
I appreciate the green seal of approval. Sometime next week, my wife and I are going up Smarts Mountain and in the process I may explore the Cummins Pond Trail that may or may not have been part of the Maskoma Trail. Does the Cummins Pond Trail go all of the way from the pond to the summit of Smarts?
Thanks for the Greenie. I actually had second thoughts about putting in the saw blade photos although at the time I couldn't think of a reason not to. It really was a fun day and just to let you know, we left everything where we found it.
You are quite welcome for the caterpillar ID (and thank you for the green square).

I'm your go-to guy for caterpillar IDs...and most local insect identifications, for that matter.
Thanks for the greenie! It's nice to share that kind of great description with people who appreciate it.
Thanks for the greenie! Of course I wore shorts.....I want to be like Marc you know! (by that I mean bloody, scarred and ripped to shreds! ;) ) I come from proud French Canadian stock you know, where men were brash (if not intelligent!) :)
Thanks for the green. I did not post the acknowledgments for the article. One person listed is David Govatski who is a coordinator for our CBC. Amazing guy, a wealth of knowledge
Hi Jason! Fun hiking with you! I hope the sandwich assembly line went off without any technical difficulties!

There were definitely some down moments on the Grafton Loop for me, but I did try to finish with a smile! Thanks!
apparently i can't give you a greenie to make up for the fact that i called you a dumpster-diving hippie, but i really like old trail guides too!
You followed a very cool route to Iso too. But dontcha just love crossing the Dry River Wilderness via the Iso (West) and Dry River Cutoff trails? Really fantastic -- and *quiet*. I wish the Cutoff had been somewhat drier, but oh well, still a lovely route.
