I have gained wonderful friends, thought things I never would have thought, changed my opinions, learned things about good communication, and grown in many other ways because of your gift. Dear Darren,

My deepest sympathies are with you for the loss of your father. I lost my father, who was also a fire fighter, when I was very young, so it has been a while. But, my brother and I still remember how much support his fire fighting brethren provided us over the last year of his life as he succumbed to cancer.

Thank you very much for all of your support. I wish I could express my thoughts as well as you have. My family and I appreciate all of your thoughts and kind words during this difficult time. It has been very hard on us. I looked up to my father very much and he was a solid rock that my whole family leaned on. Losing him is devestating but the support of this community helps ease the pain.
